The Bulldogs scored seven runs in the fourth inning and knocked the Mounties out of first place in the 7A-West Conference.

Fayetteville (11-8, 4-3 7A-West) collected 12 hits and beat Rogers ace Harrison Heffley in the process. The two teams will square off today in Fayetteville to complete the two-game series.

Quin Rudzinski, Fayetteville's No. 9 hole hitter, was 2 for 4 with a double and four RBIs. Joey Savin was 2 for 4, both doubles, and Garrett Owens was 2 for 3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Thomas Broyles was 2 for 5 and Hayes Cox and Barrett Banister each drove in two runs.

For Rogers (14-3, 5-2), Heffley was 3 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs, and Bradon Mabry was 2 for 4 with a pair of RBIs.

Chase Arnold earned the win for Fayetteville, allowing five earned runs in four innings with one strikeout. Jacob Davenport earned the save, allowing just one earned run over three innings with three strikeouts.
