FHS Swim Tryouts

When? 4:30 pm April 17th, 2019

*It is ok to come at 5:00 pm if you need to attend after a school athletic practice

Where? Fayetteville Athletic Club

Why?

The Fayetteville High School Swim Team is one of the top swim programs in the state with 15 state championships. This program prides itself not only on athletic excellence but the ability to build leaders, have outstanding character, and academics.

What do you need for tryouts?

A signed FAC permission slip (on the back of this form), updated physical, 1 piece swimsuit, cap, and goggles.

What will be expected of me in tryouts?

Tryouts will consist of a 200 yard swim and a 200IM (50 yards of each stroke)

Can I swim and do another sport?

YES! Swim will work with other FHS athletic teams to make swimming work.

How does being an Aquahawg and an FHS swimmer work?

Aquahawgs can swim Aquahawg practices, meet Aquahawg requirements, attend FHS swim and dive team events (Such as Family Dinner nights) and compete with the FHS swim team. A tryout is still needed to know your commitment to the team.

Once making the team or  a rising 8th grader, how can I prepare for the team during the summer?

High School swimmers are highly encouraged to join the Mount Sequoyah Marlins summer league team coached by someone who works closely with the FHS swim team. This is also a time where new team members can begin to get to know their teammates.

What about Dive?

There are limited spots available for dive. Contact Coach Jones if you are interested.
